Every 360 owner is always looking for the next Halo adventure, and the big hope heading into this year’s E3 would be the debut of Halo 4. Well, Microsoft is not quite ready to unveil that, but they are bringing back the game that started it all, Halo: Combat Evolved, with an updated remake, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Ten years after the title first launched the franchise on the original Xbox, Halo CE Anniversary will hit the Xbox 360 on November 15th, packed with all new additions, weapons, features, and online cooperative play.
Halo CE Anniversary is being developed by Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity – which is well known for the latest Map Pack downloadable content for Halo: Reach. To help boost the updated look, CE Anniversary will use the engine behind Halo: Reach. Purists, fear not, the title also boasts a Classic mode featuring the original look and feel of the 2001 game.
