This doesn’t come as a surprise to most people who are following the franchise, particularly those are part of the beta, but Blizzard has announced that the much awaited third entry in the Diablo series will be released on May 15, 2012.
The release date is applicable for NA, EU, SK, SA, AUS, NZ, and other parts of China. The game will also be available for digital purchase via Battle.net in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.
The game can be pre-purchased now on Battle.net, so that you’ll have the game downloaded and installed on the release date. Players of World of Warcraft have the option of getting the game for free, simply by getting a WoW Annual Pass. An Annual Pass entitles the user to a free digital copy of Diablo III as well as an exclusive WoW in-game mount (Tyrael’s Charger). But you’ll have to act fast since the promotion will end at 12:01 a.m. PDT on May 1, 2012
