Dark Souls (and its predecessor, Demon Souls) is known for being punishingly difficult, where even veteran gamers are forced to die several times on their first try, before rote memorization and familiarity starts to kick in. What it’s not known for is variety in classes. The game didn’t have any categorization of what your unnamed character is, you just had the option of choosing playstyles and weapon specializations and go from there. However, the sequel Dark Souls II seems to have given in to fan demand and introduced several new classes, so that each player will be even more unique and they will have an option of choosing a class that suits their playstyle from the offset.
Famitsu.com has just posted several new videos for Dark Souls II, each one showcasing a different class, such as the Temple Knight, The Warrior, the Sorcerer, and the Dual Swordsman. You can check out the videos below:
Dark Souls II is slated to hit PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in March 2014.
