Capcom originally announced that Marvel vs Capcom Origins is scheduled for July, but it has recently finalized the release date to September, stating that the fighting game bundle – which includes Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs Capcom – will be landing on the Playstation Network on September 25, followed by the Xbox Live Arcade version on September 26 (the Live marketplace only releases new games every Wednesday).
The release will be priced at 1200 MS Points/$14.99, and will include GGPO enhanced online play with support for 8 player lobbies and a spectator mode. The bundle will also feature HD updates to the graphcis, dynamic challenges, and the ability to record and save replays.
Capcom has also released a well-drawn, yet poorly constructed promotional poster for the game. It’s like they drew each character in their fighting pose separately, then cut and pasted everything on a single frame, resulting in a mess that looks like everyone is fighting their own invisible enemy. And take a look at Chun Li floating all alone at the upper left corner for no reason, or maybe that’s just the way the Interpol rolls.
